Simple and sumptuous

Simmering in a pot

whatever we have

is whatever we've got

so we bless it and cut it

and stick in the pot!

boil it and boil it

till it's boiling hot!

Soup is so simple

and yet

it's not

we might eat it every day

for years and years

because thats what it is

and it's what we've got

sacred chanting silence speaks
into the sleeping minds of children
